I have this friend, McCall. I talk about her a lot. On this blog (like here) and otherwise.
She’s my safety net. My inspiration. And often my creative accomplice.
She’s taken on a hugely ambitious project this year and I am already completely enthralled by the results.
McCall is doing a 365 day photo challenge. That means a self-portrait every single day this year. Yikes. I know. The thought of this project scares me in so many ways. The exposure. The vulnerability. The discipline. McCall is one of the most dedicated people I’ve ever met though, so if there’s anyone who’s going to end 2012 with 365 stellar photos, it’s likely to be her.
It’s only day 23 and check out all the beauty she’s already captured.
Did I mention she has fantastic taste? How awesome is that plaid poncho?
Tomorrow she’s going to be sharing a tutorial about how to turn a wool sweater into the coziest pair of mittens you’ve ever seen. Here’s a sneak peek of the results!
Check back tomorrow for the step-by-step tutorial. In the meantime, drink in a nice long sip of McCall’s photo magic here.
Update: find McCall’s detailed tutorial for the felted sweater mittens here!

December 26, 2016 at 6:39 amI am hoping it’s not too late to get the pattern for felted mittens. My church wants to make some to sell at our rummage sale, proceeds to go to the homeless shelter we support. Maybe some of the mittens, too!
