When I say our Gobble Gobble sweatpants were our Thanksgiving uniform, I’m not kidding. We wore them the entire long weekend, only peeling them off only to wash them and venture out for some Christmas outlet store shopping. It was five days of pure polyester bliss.
So on Thanksgiving morning when realized we had failed to pick up cranberries for our apple cranberry ribbon pie, we sure as heck didn’t change out of the Gobble Gobble gear to walk to the store. Nope. We threw on some accessories and hit the pavement.
So now, for those of you who, like me, are never more than two glasses of wine away from ordering a pair of Pajama Jeans, I present to you:
What To Wear on Thanksgiving–3 Ways to Rock Gobble Gobble Sweats
1. The I’m-Trying-To-Look-Like-I’m-Not-Trying Look: Not all of us are lucky enough to look like a celebrity when we throw on a pair of sweats, but somehow my sister Michelle pulls it off. And to her credit. She really wasn’t trying.
2. The I’m-So-Outdoorsy-I-May-Just-Sleep-Outside-Tonight Look: Don’t I look sort of like a female boxer or something? In reality, I was just trying to put on enough layers to stay warm. Turned out that I could have worn a string bikini top and still survived the unseasonably warm Thankgiving weather.
3. The I-Could-Break-Into-A-Yoga-Pose-At-Any-Moment Look: Although she may look like it, this isn’t Sporty Spice reincarnated. It’s my sister, Jamie, about 15 minutes after she woke up Thanksgiving morning. The same girl that wore sweatpants and a tank to 90% of her college classes and still managed to get hit on several times a week. She’s effortlessly beautiful like that.
We weren’t the only ones decked out in sweats though. The boys abided by the uniform too, looking ever the stylish and masculine fellows they are.
The other great thing about Gobble Gobble pants? They make you really bouncy.
